All-in: When you have placed all of your playable money and chips into the pot during the course of a hand, you are called all-in.Back Door : Making a hand that the player was in fact not drawing at.
California lowball: Ace-to-five lowball with a joker too.
Dead card: A card that is not legally permissible playable.
Early Position : A position where you must act before most of the players during a round.
Facecard: A king, queen, or a jack.
Floorperson: A casino employee who makes decisions and seats players
Hand:
(1) A players personal cards.
(2) The five cards that determine the poker ranking.
(3) A one poker deal.
Late Position : One in which you act after most of the other players during a round.
Must-move: In order to protect the main game, a condition where the players of a second game must move into the first game as openings occur.
Outs: These are cards that can come and will improve your hand.
Potting out: Agreeing with another player to take money out of a pot, often to buy cigarettes, food, or drinks, or to make side bets.
Short Stacked: It is used when there is the smallest stack of chips at the table.
Trips: Three cards of a kind like three queens.
Tight: Used to describe when someone plays fewer hands than normal.
